A pipe bomb exploded beneath a trailer parked in front of a home Friday, and a second device was discovered and disarmed in the same location, the Sheriff’s Department reported.
Officers from a sheriff’s bomb squad disarmed the second incendiary bomb, which was discovered by fire and sheriff’s deputies in the driveway of a home owned by Jeffrey Currah in the 2000 block of Mission Road.
The first bomb damaged a trailer and a nearby car also owned by Currah, but no one was injured in the 1 a.m. explosion.
Currah, a 28-year-old mechanic, could not tell officials why somebody would want to bomb his vehicles, officials said.
