Ron Turner, Stanford’s offensive coordinator the past three seasons, was selected head coach at San Jose State, succeeding Terry Shea as the two essentially traded places.
Shea, 15-6-2 in two seasons as San Jose State’s coach, left last Thursday to become assistant head coach and offensive coordinator under new Stanford Coach Bill Walsh.
