Flamemaster’s 1st Quarter Earnings Nearly Triple

Flamemaster Corp., a Sun Valley maker of sealants and coatings, said its fiscal first quarter earnings jumped nearly threefold to $157,123 from $53,568 a year earlier.
Flamemaster’s revenues grew 32% to $1.2 million in the three months that ended Dec. 31, compared with $928,466 a year earlier.
The company attributed the higher earnings to a better product mix, resulting in higher sales of flame-retardant coatings, which have higher profit margins than the company’s other products.
After the earnings announcement, Flamemaster’s common stock jumped $1.125, to close Monday at $5.625 a share, in over-the-counter trading.
