Mohan Gyani, 40, has been elected vice president and controller of Pacific Bell, a unit of Pacific Telesis.
Previously, Gyani served as the company’s financial assurance vice president with responsibility for financial planning, budgets and analysis.
In his new job, he will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Pacific Bell’s financial statements and reports in addition to his prior responsibilities.
