U.S.-Japan Debate
I have been reading the current debate about American-Japanese relations with great interest and feel compelled to express my thoughts and feelings. Both countries have great traditions of innovation, self-sacrifice, hard work and achievement.
Frankly, I am put off by the extremists in the debate on both sides of the Pacific. All societies contain the full range of abilities, good and bad. Let’s get on with the real debate, how Japan and America will constructively lead the world in the next century.
