The city has chosen former West Hollywood Community Development Director Mark Winogrond to fill the post of community development director.
Winogrond will replace Jody Hall-Esser, who became the city’s chief administrative officer in December.
Winogrond was chosen from 75 applicants from across the nation. The city spent $10,000 on a consultant to conduct the search.
Winogrond will oversee a 50-member staff in charge of city engineering, planning and housing. He will also become assistant executive director of the city’s Redevelopment Agency.
His salary will be $88,000 a year.
