A body floating near the rocks at Harbor Island was recovered by San Diego Harbor Police on Saturday afternoon, authorities said. Passersby saw the body at 12:30 p.m., and notified the harbor police, a spokesman said.
The coroner’s department believes the body is that of an unidentified man who jumped from the Coronado Bridge on Feb. 3. Coroner’s deputy Jerry Hillbrand said that the body appeared to be that of a 28-year-old white male.
The investigation of the man’s identity will continue, the coroner’s department said.
