CRUSOE AND AIDS: UC Irvine alumnus Michael Robinson has won a Fulbright Grant to research scenery and music in London for a play he’s written. . . . The 1991 drama graduate, above, has written about Robinson Crusoe in London during the Plague, but with a contemporary slant. It’s about “the struggle against an unknown disease, but the parallel to AIDS is clear,” he says. When he got news of the grant, “I was jumping around and screaming my head off,” he says.
