A Glendale man who allegedly struck and killed his roommate while driving under the influence of alcohol has been charged with felony vehicular manslaughter, authorities said.
John Anthony Senczuk, 63, pleaded not guilty during an arraignment Tuesday in Glendale Municipal Court and was released on his own recognizance, court officials said.
Senczuk picked up John Thaddeus Senczuk, 58, who is not related, at his Los Angeles workplace Friday evening, and the two stopped for drinks at an Eagle Rock nightclub before returning to the apartment they shared in the 2700 block of North Verdugo Road, Glendale police traffic investigator Charles Follett said.
After his roommate had stepped out, Senczuk put the car in reverse, apparently trying to park, and struck the man, pinning him against a block wall and fatally injuring him, Follett said.
