Recycling Awards: Several Orange County businesses were honored recently for recycling. They include Setco Inc., Anaheim, most innovative recycler; City of Garden Grove, best employee communications in a recycling program; the Orange County Register, Santa Ana, highest-volume recycler; and Pace Consolidated, Anaheim, which placed second as highest-volume recycler.
Also, Loral Aeroneutronic, Newport Beach, most improved recycler; City of Brea, best overall program in office recycling for over 200 employees; Watlow AOV, Placentia, best overall program of office recycling for under 200 employees.
Carl’s Jr., Anaheim, best overall program in restaurant and food service; Disneyland Hotel, Anaheim, best overall program in hospitality; CalComp, Anaheim, best overall program in manufacturing; and Brea Mall, best overall program in retail.
The Conserving Earth’s Resources Awards were made by Anaheim garbage collector and recycler CVT to its customers, 350 of whom were invited to compete.
