Working Together: A drive that KNBC-TV hastily put together last weekend to collect food and clothing for Los Angeles riot victims was so successful that the station is going to repeat the effort from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Spearheaded by weathercaster Fritz Coleman, last weekend’s efforts filled 15 five-ton trucks as station personnel and scores of community residents arrived with donations. This weekend, KIIS-FM will broadcast live from the collection site--the NBC Studio parking lot in Burbank. Donated items will be distributed by the Salvation Army. Items most needed: groceries and baby supplies.
