Lunker Trout Wanted at Big Bear Lake Event

The Eastern Sierra celebrated the opening of the general trout season last month. Now it’s Big Bear’s turn.
The city is holding its annual May Trout Classic Saturday and Sunday at Big Bear Lake, which today will be stocked with an additional 6,000 pounds of rainbow trout weighing from two to 12 pounds. The nine largest fish caught during the two-day event will be worth cash prizes.
