Book Aid: Debbie Allen will host a fund-raiser June 17 to collect money for Los Angeles libraries that were burned to the ground during the riots. Celebrities including Denzel Washington, Sinbad, Bill Cosby, John Singleton, Danny DeVito, Rhea Perlman and Bill Cosby are expected to attend the event, held at Every Picture Tells a Story, a bookstore in Hollywood. Money raised will help restore South-Central L.A.’s John Muir and Junipero Serra branch libraries.
