Compaq Reveals Faster Computer

HOUSTON — Compaq Computer Corp. on Monday unveiled a new version of its popular Systempro computer and announced up to a 20% cut in prices for some other Systempro products.
The computer manufacturer touted its enhanced Systempro as delivering up to 70% better performance and increased manageability at prices up to $5,000 less than current models.
The new computer uses a faster processor and an array accelerator write cache that eliminates bottlenecks by allowing the system to temporarily store data.
