Blown Away: KCAL Channel 9 news anchor David Jackson, on assignment in Louisiana to cover Hurricane Andrew, spent most of Tuesday dispatching live reports for airing on Channel 9 newscasts. But when he returned to his hotel in New Iberia, La., that night, he found himself a victim--the roof had been blown off his hotel, 60-70 cars in the parking had been destroyed and some KCAL camera equipment had been damaged. Jackson moved on to Lafayette, La., to continue reporting on the hurricane’s aftermath.
