Key returners: Mike Love, Sr., placed fourth in State Division II race; Mike Moreno, Jr., placed 26th at State meet; Delphino Resendiz, Jr., among top five last season; Steve Phan, Jr., among top five last season; Brent Henderson, Sr., team’s No. 3 runner at CIF prelims; Dan Calleros, Sr., No. 5 runner at CIF prelims; Alberto Cruz, Jr., ran varsity last season.
Key newcomers: Jorge Pinto, Fr., younger brother of former girls’ team standout Martha Pinto, who is at Kansas State; Geno Ramirez, So., member of freshman/sophomore league championship team; Richard Rosales, So.; Erick Miramontes, Fr.; Mike Lopez, So.; Edgar Benitez, Fr.; Arturo Magdelano, So.
Outlook: This team has the top returning county time on the CIF course at Mt. San Antonio College. This year, the team is stronger with improvement by Resendiz and Phan. State meet placers Love and Moreno also return to give the team a strong 1-2 punch.
