* Quaker State Corp. Chairman and Chief Executive Jack W. Corn said he will retire within a year, but named Conrad A. Conrad to take over his duties immediately.
Corn, 62, said he will retire by October, 1993, but Conrad, president and chief operating officer, immediately will oversee the operations of the Oil City, Pa.-based firm’s two lubricant-related subsidiaries, Quaker State Oil Refining Corp. and Quaker State Minit-Lube Inc.
Conrad, 46, already manages Heritage Insurance Group, Truck-Lite Co. Inc., Valley Camp Coal Co. and Quaker State’s exploration and production division.
