In other Southern Section nonleague openers:
Calabasas 19, Bishop Diego 10--James Lin scored on a nine-yard run with 10 minutes 37 seconds left to give Calabasas the lead for the first time, 13-10, and the Coyotes held on.
Calabasas senior quarterback Todd Cignarelli completed nine of 15 for 168 yards, including a 27-yard touchdown pass to David Wymer to tie the score, 7-7, in the first quarter.
Seven players caught Cignarelli’s passes.
Brett Sibert, the leading receiver, caught two for 53 yards. Cignarelli’s 22-yard pass to Sibert set up Lin’s touchdown.
