The Panthers’ star singles player won three matches to lead her team to an 11-7 win over Bellflower. Asis, who was an All-Moore League first-team selection last year, defeated all of her opponents by the identical score of 6-1.
Other top performers:
Tanisha Larkin led Long Beach Poly’s volleyball team with 15 kills as the Jackrabbits defeated St. Anthony in a three-game sweep. The match was the season opener for both teams.
