1994 World Cup Committee Seeking Replacement for Managing Director
- Share via
The 1994 World Cup organizing committee is still seeking to replace a top executive, but World Cup USA President Alan Rothenberg said a replacement is expected within a month.
Charles D. Kenny, who had been the group’s managing director and chief administrative officer, resigned last month. Rothenberg said that he had been seeking a replacement for Kenny, whose responsibilities included overseeing the day-to-day operation of World Cup 94.
Rothenberg would not comment on Kenny’s departure.
Another vacancy, that of overall venue coordinator, might not be filled. The post is being held on an interim basis by David Simmons, who is the venue coordinator for Los Angeles.
