New Jersey Firm Buys Certified Engineering: Certified Engineering & Testing Co. of Irvine said Wednesday it has been acquired for an undisclosed price by New Jersey conglomerate Bridge Atlantic Corp. Certified, an environmental management company based in Irvine, said it has appointed Francois Carrette as its president. Carrette is president of Paris-based SHP Group, the engineering, construction and banking company that is Bridge Atlantic’s corporate parent. He will succeed R. Wayne Crandlemere, who has resigned.
