COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Anteaters Sweep Utah State in Volleyball

UC Irvine swept Utah State in three games in a Big West Conference women’s volleyball match Friday at Irvine.
Scotleen Risley and Popi Edwards each had 11 kills for Irvine, which won, 15-10, 15-5, 15-13. Vesna Sepic added 35 assists for Irvine (6-6, 1-4 in conference). Marie Motil had nine kills for Utah State (2-10, 0-3).
In Big West Conference women’s volleyball:
Pacific 3, CS Fullerton 0--Charlotte Johansson had 12 kills for Pacific (9-2, 2-1) which won, 15-8, 15-7, 15-7. Fullerton is 0-6, 0-1.
In nonconference men’s soccer:
Southern California College 3, UC Santa Cruz 0--Alberto Miramontes scored two goals to lead SCC (5-3) over UC Santa Cruz (2-3). Teammate John Dobishinsky scored in the second half. Goalkeeper Angel Ruiz had one save for Southern California College.
In nonconference women’s soccer:
Chapman 6, Occidental 0--Carey Wright scored three goals for host Chapman (4-3).
