Unfair Treatment of Christian Right in Umberg Article
- Share via
In the article, “Umberg for Reelection to Assembly” (Oct. 24), why was it necessary to print the last paragraph that Republican Jo Ellen Allen was backed by the conservative Christian movement?
I guess it was a fitting end to a week that produced two articles that tried to demonize the Christian Right.
Your continual unfair and anti-Christian tone is becoming all too common and predictable. I guess what you were saying is that Tom Umberg is “one of us” and Jo Ellen Allen is “one of them.”
The Times is doing its best to twist the words, conservative Christian, into something ugly, unsavory and downright dirty.
Allen and other Christians deserve to be treated fairly. And, unfortunately, that treatment has been absent from your coverage.
