Brian J. Farrell, chief financial officer of THQ Inc., has been named to the newly created post of chief operating officer of the video-game concern.
Farrell will also serve as executive vice president of the Calabasas-based company. Jack Friedman remains THQ’s president and chief executive.
THQ also named Deborah A. Lake as controller. She has been assistant controller of the company since July, 1991.
