The Homeless
Every time I go to the supermarket or the convenience store, I see more and more homeless people. The other day, I gave money to a man about 30 years old who was with his 3-year-old son. I asked him what on earth happened and why he was standing on the off-ramp of the freeway with a sign reading, “Will Work For Food” . . . I had him come to my house and stay with us for five days. I am not financially in the position to help him. This man had no car, money or family to help him get a new start. We helped him out for those few days so he could get some shelter. He now has a little job at a restaurant. Shelters should be provided in Vista so children will not get sick from the cold this winter.
