SWEET DEAL: Beginning Tuesday, a pound of chocolate at Ethel M Chocolates in Costa Mesa will cost you $18 instead of $19.40. And a pound of jellybeans at the Pink Lady in Tustin will cost you $5 instead of $5.39. . . . That’s because repeal of the sales tax on candy and snacks, approved by voters Nov. 3, goes into effect on Dec. 1. “Our customers love the idea,” says Jennifer Anquiano of Ethel M Chocolates. “So do we; we can sell more faster.”
