Morgan H. Harris Jr., who as chairman of the trustees of the California Museum of Science and Industry helped guide that landmark Los Angeles institution out of troubled financial waters, has died.
A family spokesman said the retired managing partner of Korn/Ferry International, a worldwide executive recruiting firm, died in St. John’s Medical Center in Santa Monica on Tuesday, his 60th birthday. He had been battling cancer.
Harris spent 16 years in the executive search field and was the founding president of the California Executive Recruiters Assn.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth, and three daughters. The family asks contributions in his name to the ERAS Center for learning disabled children, 10101 W. Jefferson Blvd., Culver City, Calif. 90232.
A memorial service is scheduled for Monday at the Palisades Presbyterian Church, Pacific Palisades.
