ORANGE — Lila Beavans has been elected president and John Hurley vice president of the Orange Unified School District Board of Trustees for the upcoming term.
Both Beavans and Hurley were first elected to the board in 1989. Beavans served as vice president during the 1991-1992 term.
Beavans said she plans to change meeting procedures to make the sessions flow more smoothly. One change, which will be effective with the Jan. 14 board meeting, is having people who wish to speak submit requests before the start of the session.
