As far as teen pregnancy as a problem, it seems (San Dimas) doesn’t have such a big problem when compared to other large cities in California and the rest of the country. The school district is above average when it comes to teaching students about sex education. However, I should say (sex education) is not a required class. Nevertheless, I still don’t think Norplant should be offered to students simply because teen pregnancy is not a problem. Me and a lot of the guys I know are scared of diseases and responsibility.
The home is where education about these matters should take place. My parents and I talked about it. My parents trust me to make the right decisions, and they know I’ll be mature about it.
