La Mirada : Deputies Will Staff New Storefront Safety Center

A storefront Public Safety Center, offering services ranging from fingerprinting to information on Neighborhood Watch, will open March 12 at 15282 Rosecrans Ave. in the La Mirada Theatre Center. A dedication ceremony will take place at 8:30 a.m.
The center will be staffed by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies serving La Mirada and South Whittier, along with part-time city employees. Business hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Other services will include property engraving, auto registration to help in recovering stolen cars and vacation security inspections. Information also will be provided on emergency preparedness and business security programs.
