COLLEGE ROUNDUP : SCC Rallies to Defeat Point Loma

Ted Wieczorek and Josh Sewell each hit solo home runs in a five-run seventh inning as visiting Southern California College defeated Point Loma Nazarene, 7-6, in a Golden State Athletic Conference baseball game Tuesday.
Sewell had three hits and two RBIs and Wieczorek had two hits and two RBIs for the Vanguards (8-7, 1-2).
Point Loma fell to 11-4 and 1-2.
In another Golden State Athletic Conference game:
Westmont 11, Christ College Irvine 7--Westmont (7-4, 3-0) scored nine runs in the first four innings to pull away. Christ College Irvine, which scored four times in the ninth inning, fell to 6-6-1 and 1-2.
In Golden State Athletic Conference men’s tennis:
Point Loma Nazarene 6, Southern California College 3--Junior Bobby Carlton won a singles match and joined with teammate Aaron Webster in No. 1 doubles, defeating Mattias Rendefors and John Norton, 6-1, 6-0, for Southern California College (5-4). Point Loma Nazarene is 3-2.
