Rusty Wallace will start from the pole today in the Food City 500 at Bristol International Raceway.
He hopes he will have more success keeping his mind on his business than he did Friday while qualifying. All he could think about then was Kulwicki.
“When I was in the car I had to say to myself, ‘Hey, let’s concentrate on driving,’ ” Wallace said. “Nobody can get into it. Alan was a friend of all ours.”
