DANA POINT : Body Found in Water Still Unidentified
- Share via
Sheriff’s deputies have not yet been able to identify the body of a man found floating naked Tuesday morning near Dana Point Harbor.
Shortly before 8 a.m., a man fishing off the East Jetty in the harbor saw a body in the water a short distance from the marina.
The fisherman notified the sheriff’s harbor patrol office and deputies recovered the body of a man in his mid-30s. He apparently had been in the ocean for several days, said Sheriff’s Lt. Dick Olson.
The body had no signs of trauma and deputies could not determine the cause of death. The coroner’s office will perform an autopsy.
