LTV Reorganization Plan Approved by Bankruptcy Judge: A federal bankruptcy judge approved LTV Corp.’s reorganization plan, putting the end of the company’s nearly seven-year Chapter 11 restructuring within reach. U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Burton R. Lifland signed the order after overruling objections by a handful of the steel company’s creditors. LTV stands to emerge from Bankruptcy Court protection by the end of June as a much smaller company. LTV entered Bankruptcy Court in the summer of 1986, listing itself as a huge defense and steel conglomerate that had run out of cash.
