CALIFORNIA IN BRIEF : SAN BERNARDINO : Man Charged With Endangering Youths

A man licensed to care for disabled boys was charged with felony child endangerment after a mother said she found them unattended, dirty and sunburned in a yard with a pit bull. One of the four boys, tied to a chair with a T-shirt, was covered with ants and flies, police said. The home’s operator told police he had been out jogging. Arthur Gerald Wright, licensed by the state to operate a home for four developmentally disabled children, was arrested May 30 and released the next day on a $20,000 bond. The children, ages 8, 10, 15 and 16, were removed from the home by Child Protective Services.
