Woman in Wheelchair Gives Thief a Chase

PORTSMOUTH, England — A 73-year-old woman in a wheelchair chased a burglar out of an old people’s home in southern England, police said Thursday.
The woman said she interrupted the thief as he rifled through handbags at the home for retired people in Portsmouth on Wednesday night.
“The pensioner saw him in the building and gave pursuit in her wheelchair. He fled with a quantity of cash, and a man was later arrested,” a police spokesman said.
