* Jeffrey D. Hoffman has been promoted to president of Airline Computerized Ticketing in Newport Beach, which manufactures machines that allow travel agents to deliver tickets electronically. He had been chief operating officer of the company. Before that, Hoffman was one of the founders of Competitive Technologies Inc., a travel automation company acquired by American Express in 1991.
