Birtcher Medical Loses $1.9 Million for Year

Birtcher Medical Systems Inc., the Irvine surgical equipment and instrument manufacturer, reported a loss of $1.9 million, or 22 cents a share, for the fiscal year ended June 30, compared to a year-earlier net loss of $1.2 million, or 14 cents a share.
Sales declined 20%, to $42 million from $52.4 million.
