LOCAL NOTES : Teitsworth, Jensen Ousted from USTA

Bob Teitsworth of San Juan Capistrano and John Jensen of Newport Beach were eliminated in play at the USTA men’s national 60s and 70s grass court tennis championships at the Rockaway Hunting Club in Lawrence, N.Y.
Teitsworth, seeded 12th in the 60s, was beaten by No. 2 Chuck Devoe of Indianapolis, 6-3, 6-2.
Jensen, seeded sixth in the 70s, lost to Bob Bushman of St. Petersburg, Fla., 6-3, 6-2.

Sue Ewart of Seal Beach lost to Wendy Kaupp of Los Altos, 5 and 3, in the third round of the Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship golf tournament in Rochester, Minn.
Kaupp then advanced to today’s semifinals with a 3-and-2 victory over Robin Weiss of Palm Beach, Fla.
