Court Transfers TV Rerun Dispute to Chicago: The U.S. Court of Appeals has granted a petition by Capital Cities/ABC Inc. to have its plea to reconsider new FCC rules on TV program rerun profits moved to the 7th Circuit Court in Chicago. The network sought to have its appeal sent to Chicago, where the court is thought to be more sympathetic to upholding the Federal Communications Commission’s decision to modify the so-called financial interest and syndication rules. A similar request by Hollywood coalition supporters to have the appeal heard in Washington was denied.
