A Downtown Los Angeles jeweler was robbed of $84,000 in merchandise after four men approached him outside his Rowland Heights apartment and subdued him by shocking him with an electric stun gun, authorities said.
Sheilesh Sohawala, 56, returned home from work about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday and was knocked to the ground and jolted with the stun gun, a sheriff’s spokesman said. The robbers rifled Sohawala’s pockets, taking the jewelry and $114 in cash before fleeing in a white compact car. Investigators did not know whether Sohawala was followed home.
