Nation IN BRIEF : MASSACHUSETTS : Ex-Fugitive Argues to Sell Her Story

Katherine Ann Power, the former anti-war radical who surrendered after 23 years to face charges in a deadly bank robbery, is challenging an order that bars her from selling her story. Rikki Klieman, Power’s lawyer, filed a motion in Suffolk Superior Court this week arguing that the order violates Power’s First Amendment right to free speech. Power, 44, was sentenced to eight to 12 years in prison. Judge Robert Banks added a condition barring Power from making money from her story.
