Schmidt to Coach at Irvine Valley

IRVINE — Noelle Schmidt, a former player at El Toro High and Saddleback College, has been named women’s tennis coach at Irvine Valley College. Schmidt, 23, assisted former Irvine Valley Coach A.G. Longoria last year.

Schmidt was Saddleback’s most valuable player as a sophomore before playing at Cal State Bakersfield, where she was ranked fourth in Division II as a doubles player. Schmidt will start her first season at Irvine Valley in February with nine new players.
