Your Oct. 10 article on the new shopping mall in the Louvre (“Boutiques in a Bastion of Culture”) claimed that King George V had made changes to the Louvre in the 14th Century. There are no French kings named George. Your correspondent was probably referring to King Charles V, who ruled in the mid-14th Century.
