GLENDALE — A 39-year-old Studio City man was fatally shot outside a building in an industrial area of Glendale, police said Wednesday.
Hakop Antonyan was wounded in the torso Tuesday night and died about 9:30 p.m. at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, said Sgt. Lief Nicolaisen.
Police found the victim about 8:45 p.m. at a business in the 500 block of West Garfield Avenue after responding to a report of shots fired. No further details were released.
Tuesday’s killing was the eighth this year in Glendale, tying the number recorded last year.
“With this proximity to the metropolitan area of Los Angeles, to have eight murders in one year is not significant,” Nicolaisen said.
