HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — Instead of a room with a view, a family got a motel room with a python.
“It scared the life out of me,” said Gloria Miller of Holcombe, Kan. She, her husband and their 15-month-old child were staying at the Continental Motel on Tuesday when they found the snake coiled on the stove in their room.
The Millers at first thought the snake was a Halloween prank. They were moved to another room, and the 3 1/2-foot-long python was removed and later claimed by its owner, a recent visitor to the motel.
