Semiconductor Book-to-Bill Ratio Dips: The industry’s closely watched ratio for October fell to 1.00 from 1.01 in September. Analysts had expected the ratio to fall below 1. The last time the ratio slipped under 1 was in October, 1991. A book-to-bill ratio of 1 implies $100 worth of new chip orders of was placed for every $100 worth shipped.
