Law enforcement authorities from across Los Angeles County were on the lookout Friday for a young woman who was abducted from a Glendale bus stop by three young men.
The unidentified victim, in her late teens or early 20s, was sitting by herself on a bus bench at Los Feliz Road and Brand Boulevard about 8 p.m. Thursday when two young men dragged her into a car against her will, Glendale Police Detective Larry Kopp said.
Two people in a car next to the bus stop witnessed the abduction and tried to follow the kidnapers but were discouraged when one of the men pointed a rifle or shotgun at them, Kopp said.
The kidnapers’ car, described as a late-1970s beige four-door sedan with tinted windows and a faded vinyl roof, was last seen headed toward Los Angeles.
