FRESNO — After shooting 61% in the first half, Cal State Northridge cooled off and was stuck with the usual result Tuesday night in a 94-80 loss to Montana State in the consolation game of the Fresno Classic.
Northridge dropped its sixth consecutive game and fell to 1-10, the Matadors’ worst start since opening the 1991-92 season with 10 consecutive losses.
The Matadors had managed a tie at halftime while sinking all five of their three-point shots.
Eric Talley scored 17 points to lead six Montana State players in double figures as the Bobcats (6-3) snapped a two-game losing streak.
Brooklyn McLinn equaled his career high with 18 points for Northridge.
