MY DAY: A Tale of Fear, Alienation and Despair by Marvin Heiferman and Carole Kismaric. (Chronicle: $6.95 ) This is a truly cynical little book, proving once again that good sarcasm can come in small packages. It is a day in black-and-white pictures, a really mediocre, middle-class day, complete with personal hygiene products, The Office and The Date. Heiferman and Kismaric have captured, out of the corners of our eyes, the little details that make up our generic, disconnected, product-driven lives. Again, this is not Angst, it is despair. Sure, you might laugh, but that is because you are sick, very sick.
